where we are in the technology adoption life cycle of the Internet

Was it someone at IBM that said the internet was only 3% build? And Gilder thinks (in his Telecosm) that this physical internet will be replaced by an all fiber optic internet. There's going to be some fantastic companies build over the next decade. Wonder when we will see the first trillion dollar company?
