However...it is time to put the career politician puppet away for now. I agree our candidates this year are lacking in many areas. But, just who is good for the job. Most of the time, individual players are not better coaches, and vice versa. I am tired of seeing the values in this country erode like a fine antique. I'm sick and tired of seeing Democrats whine about the scandrals in this country, when in fact if it weren't for the stock market wealth effect, the entire administration, would have been thrown out by now. People, wake up and look in the mirror! Economies determine Presidents, not credentials. Take Bill Mahre's show for example. Every night, he has a cast of 3 liberals and one conservative. The odds are stacked in his favor, that any comment against any conservative views are delt with laughter from the audience, not to mention the other 3 guest giving their 2 cents. Last night there was a different tune. Joe Queenan, a guest on the show mentioned, "Tell me what the parties are going to do for my INTC that I bought at 72"! I nearly fell out of my chair. You know what else is funny? You didn't see the same laughter from the guests and the audience this time, because what Joe said hit home. The bottom line is this. Nobody gives a rat's arse who's in office, unless their personal wealth is being affected. Congress runs the show. It's as simple as that. Personal wealth was affected when Bush came up for re-election in 92'. He lost. Clinton came up for re-election in 96'. Personal wealth affect at that time was doing pretty good, he won. Remember, if it's not broken, don't fix it! Right? Well now we're into 2000. I can assure you that personal wealth has been affected this year. Therefore, Bush will win. Unfortunately though, we will find ourselves in recession by next year, and Bush will take the blame for it. I can hear it now......See what happens when you put a Republican into office. This will be complete and utter BS. It should be very easy for everyone here to see, the economy has to consolidate, before it moves higher. Unfortunately that will happen on Bush's dime, even though, this consolidation phase has already begun to take place, and will for several years. Jimmy Carter was a great man with great ideals. Problem? The economy killed his credibility. Reagan took over. Congress cut taxes, and the decade of mergers and acquisitions began. Reagan was held as a hero, and Carter the goat. I really do hope Gore wins for the simple fact, that I want to hear all these bickering idiots complain about how bad Gore is when the economy is going down the crapper next year. We've seen about as good as it will ever get in terms of explosive growth in our life times. Think about it, baby boom generation are now our seniors, the birth rate in this country continues to fall, because the American people are out to improve their personal careers, as opposed to taking time having children. What other technology advancements are on the horizon? We've gone from the Revolution age, to the Industrial age, to the Computer Age. What's next? We've seen the likes of MSFT/INTC/AAPL/DELL/CSCO make millionaires out of many. What new technology advances will their be now? Internet appliances in your home? BIG DEAL! There's really nothing left on the horizon. Therefore, we will be in a consolidation phase for many years to come. And that my friends, will be the reason our next President will wish he never had taken office, come next year. Time to invest stock in your families and love ones, because from Al Gore's statement, "You haven't seen nothing yet"! A phrase taken from the king of splitting hairs, Bill Gates. Ask yourself this, what has MSFT introduced that we haven't seen yet? A 50% haircut? LOL! People, you have seen as good as it's going to get for now. So put stock back into yourselves, your family, and your values. We are now moving into the Consolidation age. KM
