Carolyn,

I just talked with my CPA because I wanted to be sure I didn't make a fool out myself:) He claimed with a no planning angle that you will end up writing a check. He said there are numerous easy ways around it with family trust, generation skipping, splitting the estate etc. but he maintained without any planning you would actually have to write a check.

I am just a tin bender so I have to defer to him:)
