if they're acting in a concerted intervention, yes. not otherwise, as they're fully invested...up to their eyeballs in US equities. in other words, they're helping to intervene with borrowed money...again, i am almost certain that this is what has happened today...big funds from both sides of the pond defending the NAZ May lows...they're not stupid...they know what happened to the Nikkei when it broke a similar chart point in '90.
