In the "It's a Small World" department: Allan Ryskind used to live near my mother, and his daughter is a good friend of one of my brothers (I never got a chance to meet him). His dad is Morrie Ryskind, who was one of the most successful writers of movie comedies in the early days of talkies, and who wrote some of the Marx Bros. movies. So, here is "six degrees of separation"-- from me to my brother to Allan Ryskind to Morrie Ryskind to Groucho Marx to TS Eliot, who was a fan of the Marx Bros. and who corresponded with Groucho when they were both elderly. I cannot now remember if they met face to face.........
