Haqi, I lived in Texas from 91-96 and I agree with your thoughts. When Bush first ran for governor, I voted for him and at the same time I voted for Bullock for Lt. Gov. Even though Bullock was a Democrat and I am a Republican, I voted for him because I viewed him as being fairly conservative, and I didn't believe that he was the type to polarize every issue.
