Nile's CNBC comments:

<Dan Niles, Analyst at Lehman Brothers, was interviewed on CNBC for an explanation of his recent downgrades of XLNX and ALTR.

Over the last week, data had been coming in that made Niles nervous about these companies. Also, Niles feels that large communications equipment manufacturers are attaining parts easier. This may have a profound affect on both companies.

In any case, there is definitely something going on when both companies are growing very fast and the sector does not seem to share their rates of growth.

Niles sees the current market lasting for another week or two, and listed some of his picks, looking for more Internet structure on the hardware side.
