We've had a bit of rain, but the watering holes are still way down. Just got back from running errands. Had to go for some boiled peanuts for the recovering one. And pumpkins for the outside arrangement I have going. I was going to use the grandparent's wagon but while moving it into place, an important part broke from rot. So now it's in pieces and is on the list to be fixed. Reckon I'll get a four by four and hew it down a bit to make it look like I hewed from a pole. I ran over the scarecrow with the tractor awhile back and rather than pick him up, I've been running over him on occasion ever since. I think I might put him on the hay in the yard. He's headless. And now very dead. I got carried away at WalMart awhile back and bought a sign that says "The Witch is in". That's up there. A little advertising never hurt. Oh, wait. Might get me burned. The deer are out in force here, too. Saw four crossing the drive a couple of days ago. Thankfully, they were not suicidal and hurried along. And I saw the first heron at our pond! She was a beaut.
