Active After Hours : Both Extreme Networks (EXTR) and Ariba (ARBA) beat earnings and revenue estimates handily, but both are
getting hammered after hours: EXTR -17 vs the close, and ARBA -8. Not clear whether there is something in the reports, or -- more
likely -- just a continued selling into good or bad news. We are holding for the conference calls and will be attempting to talk to both
CEOs this evening.

Polycom (PLCM) 59 -6 3/4: Reports Q3 earnings of $0.18 a share, $0.01 better than the Zacks consensus of $0.17, vs year-ago
earnings of $0.10; revenues were $86.5 million, an increase of 65% compared to $52.3 million recorded for the third quarter of 1999;

Apple Computer (AAPL) 20 1/8 unch: -- Update -- Company lowers revenue estimates for the December quarter to about $1.6
billion and is "targeting a slight profit." The Zack's consensus estimate for the Dec. quarter is $0.52.
