Bosco:

The stocks which will bounce the highest will be those in a good uptrend (there are still a few). Even though the markets finished ok today the new lows are telling.

When the analyst say tax selling will end @ the end of the month just remember how right analsts always are. Fund managers sell in October to trim losers so they don't show up in the annual report. They are not incented to minimize taxes on gain positions they've sold. Also people would be crazy to be investing in a fund b/4 the end of the month due to the taxable dividends many will have. So at least we should have the funds decrease selling losers (the nets really fall into this category)

I expect tax selling by all the retail investors to really pick up in November when the brokers call and remind them. So stocks in bad trends will have that pressure as well. Just a thought & there are many candidates in this group.

Imagine when investors pick up this months statement and see the losses. At some point j6p is going to start withdrawing funds.
