denial, denial, denial. Houston in the worst air in the union. Fact. Don't deny it. I've breathed it and I know. It was so bad I wrote a letter to the Mayor on christmas Day. And I don't even live there. Never written a mayor before in my life.

Haqihana--I think what American Spirit was dramatizing is the fact that George W. Bush himself, coupled with his woeful record as governor of Texas, is a no-show when it comes to environmental issues. Why? 'Cause Bush's supporters--the ones behind the scenes, the ones we don't know much about--gain little to nothing when it comes to reengineering our nation's environmental policy. Although I'd have to research this, I'd bet it highly likely that Bush enacted auto emissions policy due to a need for federal compliance on the issue.
