X is to hard. If the world wants lots of apps by programmers who use a macro object libraries to create them, that's OK, they will be buggy and not well integrated and piggy and an obtuse implementation of the application. X is not that hard and it allow access at a level that allows for specific tailoring of the solution. So if you want msft quality programmers to create application because X is to hard then what you get is eog and ee for image viewers. With X you get xv and fvwm. Clean simple fast elegant designs.

You get an 8 minute miler to run the race you get and 8 minute mile. Yes the guy with the world record worked hard.
What is required to create applications that are world class great and draw in users with a desire to change?

You can duplicate with gnome and subjugate with X.

The simple rule is no pain no gain. Let's make Linux painless, the simple no pain way is to emulate msft.
