I just watched Inside Politics facts check and there was no mention of Gore exaggering about the $10,000 tuition deduction. Maybe there's some fine print or you have to be at a certain income bracket to get it. But that is his policy and after all the flak he's taken I know he would not set himself up by telling a fib that big. It would be political suicide. Both candidates know the fact-checkers start work immediately after the debate. They can exaggerate a little but that's all they can get away with. It would be a big story if Gore's tuition help was only $800. And I see no such story.

Your post about college deductions is confusing and biased at best. Looking to check the few facts you post. In the meantime I found this on Lisa Myers.
NBC News: Robertson Says Bush May Hide It, But He's Really a Conservative:
"Lisa Myers, NBC: Now some conservatives say that George Bush is not sufficiently committed to the social agenda of the religious right.
Rev. Robertson: Lisa, I think he's committed to the agenda, but at the same time, he's running for president. He--he's aware of that. He's aware that he needs to be portrayed as a--as a centrist candidate.
Myers: Do you think that George Bush is more socially conservative than he sounds?
Rev. Robertson: Yes." [NBC, "Nightly News," 10/1/99]
