"How do you define what is advertising and what is not? Which criterion do you use to reject messages?"

Message board: Two guys are sitting at home in their underwear, each on opposite sides of the country, chatting about stocks and generally playing armchair CEO regarding various publicly-held companies, via modem. That's the difference, I think.

"What is the business model behind siliconinvestor.com?"

First and foremost, a message board. It is somewhat driven with advertising projected to non-logged-in viewers, cleverly disguised as—advertising. The paying members, logged in, are not subjected to such. That's my interpretation of the model, at least.

"Did you look at what competition provide -- a positive ROI somehow measurable, to the clients?"

?? Referring to Raging Bull? ?? Guess I missed the question.

"How long do you think you are going to survive with this business model?"

Personally speaking, I'm not using this business model to survive, so I can't speak as to its impact on my life. I work for a completely different company, too. All the same, I expect to survive until I'm no longer—healthy diet, exercise, clean underwear, and complete abstinence from rhubarb, The Devil's Leafy Vegetable.

From my point of view, which is just another SI user,
I gave SI some bucks a while back for the right to chit-chat with other investors in an environment free of advertisements and spammers.
