bp, On CNBC tonight, Pisani showed the chart of the P/C ratio from before the 98 crash to today. It is presently higher (at least as shown on the chart) than at either the crash then and the massive decline ion April. The VIX capped at just over 40 in April I believe. It has doubled in the last 4-5 weeks.

What will it take to get the VIX over 40 at this point? Do we need to dive through 3000?
