Re: "MPR, RE:"The MPR expects the P4 to reach 2GHz on the current process." I suppose they have contracted with Carrier or SubZero for cooling?

Here's what the Microprocessor Watch said:

Issue #59 Microprocessor Watch August 30, 2000

"The higher operating frequency of the new part is made possible by a hyperpipelined core with 20 stages-twice the depth of the P6 pipeline. Intel has dubbed this new architecture NetBurst. We expect the new core to reach 2GHz-a speed demonstrated at IDF- before it moves to a 0.13-micron process in 2001"

Mcmoron - re: 'I suppose they have contracted with Carrier or SubZero for cooling?'

Why haven't you been OUTRAGED at the 60 Watts of power that the 1.2 Ghz ThumperTurd pumps out?

60 AMD watts is a no brainer while 60 Intel watts is a disaster?

Get your head out of your intestinal track.
