Mike: LOL about that dog comment. So it would seem. And the relative lack of commentary on this thread must mean the longs are in a state of shock. Can't say I blame them. If I was sitting across the table from WSTL upper management tomorrow I'd have a hard time not taking their ties and hanging them from the ceiling....while those ties are still wrapped around their owners necks! Heh! *Ahem*

Anyway, as for me I find there's no excuse for this. xDSL build out is progressing nicely (EFNT is making that clear). WSTL has had many opportunities during their road show to revisit expectations, and given the recent nature of this show there's no way they didn't know about this earning news.

But hey, grousing over spilled milk don't put it back in the carton now does it? I can take the hit and leverage it against this years gains if need be (and I'd say at this point THAT idea is 100% probable). But in the mean time.....I'm going to the pub now and take my medicine like a big boy. ;-) See ya tomorrow at 8am!!

John~

You are mixing metaphors.

the "last WSTL" OLD WSTL as I recall recovered.

This is the NEW WSTL. And like the new .com economy will...

be Internet-like. Funny that the PR had no mention of "burn rate"
guess that doesn't sell right?
