Not much difference between Gore and Bush on government spending.

"Gore's budget would amount to growth of about 3 percent of GDP, and much of that growth stems not from Gore's initiatives, but from simply
letting government spending keep pace with inflation. In fact, Bush's spending plans would amount to about 2.6 percent of GDP, not
significantly different from Gore.
