Amy - re: 'This is another reason why I like Intel - Intel has enough fab capacity - which means they won't lose market share in a fast growing market due to constrained capacity.'

Intel's Andy Bryant mentioned in the Conference Call that Intel's Ca$h and Equivalent$ had now grown to about $14 Billion. The Balance sheet confirms that.

Intel's quarterly AFTER TAX profits are running at $2.9+/- Billion and a new fab runs maybe $2 - $2.5 Billion !

Essentially, Intel can FUND the building of 1 FULL Wafer Fab - State of the ART EVERYTHING - every quarter - just from their quarterly profits - and have enough in reserve to build an ADDITIONAL 6 or 7 wafer fabs.

As you have implied, AMD will soon hear a freight train heading in its direction.
