DEM:

Chuckle, chuckle, heh heh heh!

I've been wondering how long it would take MSFT to get around to doing this. Can't just ignore the large and growing PALM user base, or some other company will take the market.

Holy toodlyoo! This is about as close to admittance of defeat as you will get from those guys up in Seattle!

I can't believe he actually said:

No offense to the Pocket PC, but we might need to bring .Net services to Palm and other [handheld] devices

It's as if he's trying to distance himself (and MS) from this WinCE thingy :)

Reminds me of Clinton's first denial. Something on the lines of "I did not have relations with that woman, Ms Lew.."

I saw an interview with a body language expert who later claimed that the usage of the term "that woman" was unconsciously used to distance himself from the whole affair- as if he was a "third" party to the whole thing.

Where am I going with this? I think that the quote from Ballmer signals the same thing:

"No offense to the Pocket PC..."

I have too much time on my hands I think ;)

Dem, Your Computer World post is a major admission of capitulation by Microsoft that Palm is King of PDA.
