I discovered an indicator several months ago with Big Blue. High volume spikes nearly always marked tops or bottoms- particularly bottoms.

With a 30 Million share day today- I gotta think either a bottom or a Big Kahuna event is in store quite soon. Today was the day to be short IBM- I honestly couldn't recommend buying it here, because falling knives are hard to catch.
It did bounce off horizontal support today. So it's still undecided.

One thing I noticed from BB's chart is that SPX volume has continued to increase as this bear has progressed. That's no sign of a bottom.

Good Luck,
TW
