>>>The rules of the debate forbid one candidate from presenting questions to the other. Bush was simply catering to Gore in giving him any response.<<<

Too bad Bush didn't agree to a candidate-to-candidate direct debate. Bush got what he wanted. All parties, networks included, broke the debate rules. Still, the moderator had discretion.

>>>Had Lehrer been on top of things, he would have cut Gore off at the pass before Bush even got a chance to answer. You really are selective in what you choose to react to.<<<

Joseph, I've faulted Bush's post-debate performance on more than the one issue you highlight. Consider that it's you whose being selective. You're not accusing me of acting like Bush, are you? (LOL)

>>>I also find that even when you are given a fair and accurate rebuttal you simply ignore it and make like it never happened. Not exactly an honest approach.<<<

Are you blaming me now for letting somebody else's opinion stand? I believe in good thought, don't you? That I'm a critic of George W. Bush does not make my approach dishonest. Republicans seem to feed off that kind of line of attack, whether knocking down media bias, the opposing candidate or an opposing candidate's supporters.

Incidentally, again, I'm not voting for Gore. I'm more opposed to Bush.
