Next Q projections

messages.yahoo.com

If... If... EFNT can grow revenue 25% sequential

If...If...EFNT can get gross margin to 35% (up from 32.6% this Q

And assuming 20% increase in Sales Cost (versus 0% this Q)
And assuming 25% increase in R&D (versus 40%+ this Q)
And assuming 20% increase in Administration costs (versus 32% this Q-- stop adding Humans! haha)

Then we are looking at a $11.1M profit next Q, otherwise known as .19 EPS

I dont think any of the numbers above are out of reach even in a tepid DSL market. If SBC comes through for us... then.... it could be as William Shatner says... "Big... very Big".

So now we go through 3 months of hell again as Cabletron sells of 2M shares, we worry about CLECs dying off, CMTN implodes next Q, Westell tries a hostile takeover of Efficient Networks, etc

And after all this worrying, Efficient will quietly execute its business, moving to more and more high margin SDSL (aiming for 50/50 mix per conference presentation) and positioning its 60% gross margin VoDSL business in March-June 2001.

So now the hand wringing begins for the January quarter... off we go.

Enjoy,
Mark
