I think the truth is somewhere in-between. Chuck and Goutama had some good estimates on Mod thread (I am way behind there today).

I think the consensus was that Intel's ASP was slightly below $200 in Q2, and that it stayed the same or dropped a little last quarter. I think it is probably in $180 to $190 range, which is about the same as the ASP of Athlon (not K7, just Athlon)
