KLIC warned in August, and TER just did. The backend is connected to the front-end, and the back end goes off the cliff first (shorter lead times)

I would agree, as the back-end equips typically do not need the complexity of new technology, but stamps out the same thing many more times.

I believe the front end are more complicated equips with longer lead / install / qual time.
Just my thoughts, I have seen allot in the last 18 years in the SEMIs.

Question on bk end vs fr end:

Is it safe to assume order is as follows:

AMAT..KLAC.....KLIC....TER ?

If so why did KLIC fell out first?
