Plenty of media owners are liberal. Katherine Graham's husband, Phil, used to ghost write speeches for Lyndon Johnson. Ted Turner has become very liberal, in an especially dumbass sort of way. The Sulzburgers are Democratic Party supporters. I do not know chapter and verse, but it is not inherently unlikely. I know Cora Weiss, for example. She is an heiress, and is a major supporter of The Nation magazine and the Institute for Policy Studies. She and her husband are the only people I ever heard who deplored the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the collapse of the noble experiment of socialism in East Germany. There are plenty of rich people who are on the Left. Heck, many of the members of the Senate are millionaires, both Democrat and Republican, both conservative and liberal, such as Ted Kennedy.In any case, many owners do not exercise intimate control over their publications, and are satisfied as long as a profit is being made, regardless of the tack the editorial staff takes.......
