Another view, If lead times are short, the visibility is limited to say 300ft. Where as lead times are long, say 700ft, then may be just may be , you may have a glimpse of hope around the block. Due to your shorter lead times you just don't see it? Another way to look at it would be instead of flooding 700ft of backlog now you would just flood 300ft of backlog. Good from the point of view of time it takes to clear backlog. Also I heard in one CC: the wafer shortage is going to control how busy backend guys will be. TSMC: biz.yahoo.com NOK: biz.yahoo.com
