Well, the doctor was probably called in as a consultant, she might have been a specialist in infection or something like that. And she wasn't going to know anything without reading the chart. So that's the explanation.

Ish, I have seen something like that happen before. I refused to pay that part of the bill, and challenged the ones who sent the bill to go to court and prove that a service was performed. Never heard a word after that. Would have reported him to the State Medical Board, if I had remembered his name. The bills I received had a collection service name, and not the name of the doctor.
