Clear choice for president.

Gore - smart, policy wonk, would make a great staff member on some adminstration. Highly partisan, would kill to get his way. A divide and conquer kind of guy. I would love to have him work for me, except he is so weird and fake, but he's a helluva dedicated worker. His big problem is, he in the worker bee mold and not a leader. He can't see the forest for the trees. He's a good debater but most American's realize is difficient in leadership and has no powers of persuasion.

Bush - laughed at for being a big picture guy. Has masterfully worked with both parties in Texas to pass meaningful legislation. Texans love him to the the tune of 70% reelection percentage. Bush can get things done. He is a decent, authentic, man who actually has executive experience, which Gore has none of. Bush is an accomplished executive, who probably would not be a great staff worker, unlike Gore. But there is a clear difference between the 2 men in leadership ability.

I think that America sees this difference, and we will be better off for it.

Definitely panic in the Demo/lib troops. Bush is pulling away.

<Meanwhile, so much valuable and needed money has been wasted over the past 30 years (since Nixon) fighting an obviously unwinable war, governments and enforcement authorities have become corrupted in the process and the underground economy thrives as the bad guys get richer and richer.

I could go on and on with this issue, but I won't.

Although on the surface is sounds ludicrous, I think we've got to explore varying legalization strategies with all drugs, not just marijuana. That marijuana, a non-physically addicting substance, has gone illegal for so long, itself, is a criminal act given it's more beneign than the effects of achohol which is acceptable in our society.>

This is one area where we could agree more than disagree.
Late in my Father's life, he and I would get into some heated debates as he was drawn to the notion of legalization which I was profoundly against it. Since then the futility and social cost in terms of crime, money spent and human suffering etc.; have lead me to start thinking otherwise.
