David,

I got the $13
from some earlier work I posted where I concluded OS licensing was $10-$13 per unit, and confirmed $13 from the licensing revenue PALM earned in Q1 ($4.6
million) and HAND's unit sales last Q4 (345,000), since HAND represented almost all of PALM's licensing revenues in PALM's Q1.

Why do you conclude that HAND was the only (material) PALM licencee?

Symbol and TRG have been licensing the PALM OS for more than a year and a half now. You don't think that together they are even at a 50,000/Q rate yet?

If you include this "extra" number of units, your per device license figure drops to $11.5

I think that the number is probably closer your lower end ($10) rather than the higher end.
