MRV did not "release" the PR. It is a vianet release. So, I think drifter is a little off. MRVC is NOT pumping anything. I don't know enough about vianet to comment on the alliance. MRVC right now is market dependent as a higher stock price will only be justified by successful IPO's which need a strong market. Nothing new there.
