Now on cnbc, Harvard boy says stock is down because it fell short of whisper number of .11
11 cents? How smart is that, harvard boy, a whisper # that's 100% greater than expectations. Whisper was 7 cents. How much more error dissemination to be done here? How much damage can all this do?

LJM,

What ticks me off is that all Reuters did was change the wording regarding the 2¢ earning miss to beating estimates by 2¢. What a crock of crap!

They repeatedly reported that EXTR was being mauled because they missed by 2¢, then they CORRECTED??? the story by changing it to EXTR being mauled because they beat estimates by 2¢ a day later!!!!!!!

Is that an appropriate correction? Bottom line is that folks reading the first 30 erroneous reports either sold or shorted on the news. Now Reuters makes it look like the selling all along was due to only beating estimated by 2¢.

That is a real load of crap IMVHO!

Ö¿Ö

Say thanks for the clarification,I had read their formal announcement early on and it was just"diamonds & rubies".Then I went surfing on Stock Talk after seeing their morning drop and got confused as to which was the RIGHT story.
They are one of my "show ponies" and am doing well, hope you are too.
BTW have you been watching RFMD? They beat expectations but reduced estimates on the next quarter. When 3G phone systems start to ramp in the consumer market they are going to "jump" out of the box they are in.
See ya
