(BVSN) will replace PaineWebber Group Inc. (PWJ) in the S&P 500 index after the acquisition of PaineWebber by UBS AG (UBS). A spokesman for PaineWebber said the company's shareholders are scheduled to vote on the transaction on Oct. 23, with a closing expected some time in November. Standard & Poor's, a unit of McGraw-Hill Cos. (MHP), said it will replace PaineWebber with Broadvision at the close of trading on a date to be announced. (An item at 6:06 p.m. EDT on Oct. 16, based on an incorrect press release from S&P, reported that the transaction was scheduled to close on Oct. 23 and that the change would be effective on that date.
