1.67 Ghz will probably not be possible until a 0.13 micron shrink. 12.5 x 133 Mhz = 1.67 Ghz. I think we'll
see chips from 9x, 9.5x, 10x and perhaps 10.5x. That
means chips at 1200, 1266, 1333 and 1400 Mhz.

Lynn fixed it: Did you guys read the whole Lynn thing? Great news:

Oct 15, AMD has deep cut the Duron 700 and up, and the Athlon Thunderbird 900 and up. They have also introduced the 1.2G Thunderbird coming in late October(200mHz FSB) AMD 1.3G(200mHz FSB) & 1.267G & 1.333G(266mHz FSB) processors coming later in fourth quarter! Duron 750 & 800 Processors in a Box are coming next week, and Thunderbird 1.1G Processor in a Box coming in early November! You can now advance order the Epox 8KTA+ with switches coming in late October and the 8KTA2 with ATA100 and switches. Coming later will be the Epox 8KTA3 with KTA133A chipset(266mHz FSB) & ATA100 support, followed by 8K7A with AMD 760 chipset(DDRRam, PC266)!!!

So, we get 1.3 GHz for the existing infrastructure, PLUS

1.267 and 1.33 for the 266 FSB stuff, which includes both 760-based and KT-133A-based motherboards.

Epox has mobos using both chipsets on their way.

Great news confirming 1.33, adding 1.267, and news of 1.30 on the 100 MHz FSB.

Doug
