In big bears, the money leaves at the end. You know when it is over when the money leaves -- that is the true meaning of capitulation. Japan was classic bear market material. They all swore again, and again and again that they would hold their stock forever. I am reminded by this because I had dinner with a Japanese banker last night. And after swearing on their mothers Honor that they would never sell their stocks -- when the bear kept coming back and ripping their face off again and again -- then they all sold. It took years, not a couple of weeks.
