ROTFLMAO! You are a goofy guy Jim. The baby gorilla has already arrived and it is finding out that it is going to be a big gorilla. The fact that Intel is not in the drivers seat certainly is not discouraging news at all. This will benefit the entire computer industry. It is to Intel's credit that they addressed the memory bandwidth problem back in 1995 and 1996.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth is coming local fiefdoms and warlords who just do not like surrendering any semblance of control or power.

The smart memory companies have already put this matter behind them and are getting on with their business.
