I had to smile as I read that, Jake. What the heck is a town of 1200 doing with a 3 MILLION dollar new "city hall?"

Tis the same old story with just the location changed to protect a greedy bastard's tax money fleecing project:
mining the ghost town's miners.

Around here, if a ghost-town of 1200 wanted to build a new city hall, they'd slap up a butler building, put a "historic" facade of 2x12's vertically on the front, hang some black handwrought looking strap hardware hinges, and connect it all (acc'd to code of course) to the local electric pole.

And the ignorance of uttering a statement that they won't hold up a $3Mil project for $200,000 because they don't know how to get the gold out of the dirt...what a jerk!

Bet the local "pantry for the town's poor" knows what to do with a few extra hundred thou'...and that little restaurant waitress would be happy to hand out pie-plates as temp gold pans.

I think I'll drive over and help myself to a few buckets of that "nuisance"...I sure as hell know how to get it out.
Gotta map fer me?
