I Had To Go To The Bathroom

Did they solve the problem of decreased demand, the debt crisis, the oil crisis, inflation, war in the middle-east, and other related problems when I was gone?

<<did you know that between 1929 and 1932 output per man hour rose by 20%? yes, it was the heyday of productivity growth..>>

I like to think of that as a triumph of a motivated work force (i.e, work hard or lose your job and starve to death) rather than triumphant technology. I believe Pol Pot used the same technique....Yet another benefit of some sort of "landing", soft or otherwise....

Heinz, I was watching the history channel last night about farm equipment ( sorry Myth -no sheep -g-) It was estimated that the tractor eliminated the need for 20 million draft animals -horse, oxen and freed up 20-80( not sure which) million acres of pasture ( grazing land) and 80 million acres of feed land. Early combines required 40 horses and 11 men to operate developed into a gas powered single operator machine. To put the acreage into perspective I think they said there is one billion acres of farmland in the US today. No mention of kero cobs though -g- gee and I thought productivity was invented in 1990's by the PC . Mike
