Why on earth would you think it was personal? I like Cosmic's bubbles in a pot analogy. It is highly egotistical of a small creature on a small planet to think the universe has thoughts of us, or has thoughts as we understand them at all- the universe probably just is. Whatever it is. But I would think it highly unlikely that it is personal or communicative, in any way we would understand those terms. I wouldn't expect it to be intelligent - not as we understand intelligence. I would expect it to have organizing principles- but that's it. Of course those are merely my theories as a small earth creature. I could be totally wrong- as Cosmic already suggested most humans are BOUND to be wrong, and none of us may be right.
