AMD had a fairly nice day. It is still down in the pits and has not assumed leadership but I not bad for a single day. Many other semis managed larger gains. AMD spent much of the day lagging the sector. But as the day progressed and buying in the sector remained strong, AMD moved up strongly. This might be due to some short covering and also to calming of the recent jitters that good news has fallen on deaf ears. Whatever the reason, the strong close was very constructive for further gains as long as the tech rally continues.
