Dark Skies Ahead For Rambus?
Posted By Brian Neal

Yesterday, we reported on Craig Barrett's comments regarding Intel's partnership with Intel in The Financial Times. You can find the full link to that article here, which details the many Rambus-related problems the company has dealt with over the past few years.
Barrett's open admission of the partnership with Rambus as a mistake doesn't bode well for Rambus' future in the PC market. Indeed, while the company's earnings report yesterday was upbeat, they certainly have some things to worry about for the future. As stated yesterday, near-term revenue for the company is dependant predominately upon product ramps of the PlayStation2 in the US and the Pentium 4. Interestingly, Rambus has a very specific disclaimer regarding forward-looking statements:

Amdahl, a subsidiary of Fujitsu, plans to exit the IBM-compatible mainframe market. According to Amdahl, IBM's new 64-bit zSeries mainframes are too costly to emulate. Amdahl and Hitachi both sell IBM compatible mainframes at lower prices and currently account for about a fifth of the market.
Analysts said the move should reduce competition for IBM and choice for customers. Amdahl and Hitachi Ltd. sell lower-priced machines and together account for about a fifth of the mainframe market, Mr. Tajiri estimated. Hitachi had already signaled it is not seeking new customers for its IBM-compatible line.
Amdahl intends to move to producing SPARC-based UNIX servers.

Just saw your hot pick good investment webvan!!!!
Just saw WBVN (webvan) was finally downgraded. CNBC reporting, says Robertson Stephens had big BUY ratings from $24 all the way down to under $2. Now that it's a buck and half a share, their downgrading.
Just add it to the list of high-tech that were hyped until they was nothing left. Your other pick "SILKROAD" was decimated to nothing it seems you need some investment advice! Think of Nanovation another loser LOL!

Scott, It really does not bother me when someone brings up nina and aplx. I made bags of money on both. I just wish I had taken all my profits and put them in a cd. But I took them and put them into Mr. Gilders telecosm stocks. Now I still hold em because I think that what Mr Gilder says and my own analysis is correct. And this week again I made another 750 trading aplx. Where I've lost money is on lucent. Where I also missed a lot of money is rambus.
How I now make day trade money with several stocks is shown
