I must admit, the post was meant to be somewhat facetious. However it can't be totally overlooked. I did the charts again with incy, mlnm and hgsi. Affx and Incy match up well, too, but not hgsi and mlnm.

DO I really think wall street is treating affx as a chip company? No, but I think it is worth mentioning, since affx is a genomix/hardware/infrastructure company, whereas the others in the group are more genomics/drug development. It wouldn't surprise me if there was some correlation between tech infastucture sentiment and biotech infrastructure sentiment.
