More Clownspeak (of the more customary variety from our favorite Clown):

<<WASHINGTON, Oct 19 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Robert McTeer said on Thursday the Fed should not raise rates just because of strong growth, nor should the central bank set limits on either the growth or jobless rate.

Addressing the Cato Institute in Washington, McTeer, also said rising oil prices alone should not prompt the Fed into action.

"I think policy should be based on measures of inflation and market-based indicators of inflation," said McTeer, who is not a voting member of the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee this year.

"Policy should not be tightened because real growth rises above any particular level or because the unemployment rate falls below some level, unless direct measures of inflation measures are also sending off danger signals," he added. "I'm sure we should not do that and I'm confident that we won't.">>
