Yes that could be it :-) I have noticed that they do, on occasion, have duplicate serial numbers on different pieces of hardware.

I do have one more complaint about Cisco and any other hardware manufactuer. Why not have Ir interfaces on hardware and get away from the console ports? I hate carrying all those cables around with me. Laptops do have Ir ports on them. This is the year 2000 after all :-)
