"I think the share swings have been driven more
by external perception and minor cycles than fundamentals. "

Hahahahahaha.
"Minor cycles". "External perception". Great euphemisms. Forget about the constant reduction in cellphone sales estimates for this year and next year, forget that as cell phone inventories were building, TXN could still only manage 27% earnings/sh growth. Growth is slowing, therefore, TXN earnings growth will logically slow as well, and this is still valued with P/E of over 30. I know, P/E doesn't really matter in this mkt. I'm just saying this pig still has a lot of fat left, now the pig might wiggle and bounce, but eventually, it'll just lay down. A handset for every baby. High speed downloads on the cell phone for maximum squinting capabilities for the user. Forget my Pentium III 833 Mhz computer, I'll just do everything internet-related looking at my 2 inch b&w LCD cell phone screen. Good luck to you.

As a major supplier for Nokia, I believe TXN's big move today was tied to Nokia's excellent eps and rosy forecast.

EG Edwards downgraded TXN this morning after learning about NOK's good news - it's plan criminal!
