cfoe, thanks for your report on CC. Everything sounds super good. I know it's winner for the next couple years, but, I did my planned call grab this a.m. on 15's, so I'd kinda like to see a 40 point gap at open tomorrow.

'course I'd settle for 1 to 3 up for the day.

Thanks again

cfoe, I agree it was an excellent cc, I might add a few things if I may. George & Donald were very high on Smart Cards after an analyst asked specifically about them. They spit out about 7-8 applications (can't remember them now) and talked about how it was big in Europe & Asia. They mentioned that the US was only around 10% but that will only increase in time. Also mentioned their ties with Microsoft as in "Microsoft for Smartcards" which they were very excited about. This market will be big someday my opinion. They also mention the joint deal with IBM for a security chip that is now ramping for PC security that should be big. Mentioned their AVR Micro-controllers were selling good. I can't think of much more, I thought the call was very upbeat and the analyst seemed to be also, but I"m biased.
With a few companies like Ti coming out lately and saying inventories are up in cell phones parts and that they should be worked through by the 4Q. I think this gives the analyst a chance to save face and come out with upgrades for the semi cycle by saying inventories are being worked through and new internet phones are coming out along with new demand (or something like that). By the way Atmel said that they see none of this excess inventory in their markets.
