You stated somewhere and I believe you that the impact on the US has been minimal with increased oil prices and it is not stifling Asia to my knowledge.
So why would Opec reduce prices when they have made so little for so long.
There economic figures show reduced income up to 1997 as far as they have compiled on the site. If I were they, I sure as heck would not try to accommodate the US and World now, but use this time to fortify me.
