Does not some international standards body governing WCDMA prescribe licensing royalties for all those contributing intellectual property to the standard, and that the standard is available to all who are willing to pay. If Nokia is in fact preventing itself from moving into the future by purposefully avoiding licensing what of QCOM's patents it needs, it would make no sense to me. Why would Nokia shun Qualcomm if it needs Qualcomm? I have a hard time believing that Nokia would purposefully commit suicide (if all you say is true). Can you provide any reason why Nokia would choose this path? Is it possible that appearances are deceiving in this case and that things aren't as they appear to you?

P.S. You are one of the more temperate QCOM'ers who visit our shores. :)
