>>>MOBI will go over $50, then onto $75, and I'll have to go to Texas and buy dinner for Peat before next December.<<<

now, you're welcome to come down anytime you want. we keep the doors open down here for northerners that get lost. if that is dec.00 you are dreaming. if it is dec.01 our bet will be settled long before.

you are on point that the model for ebpp has a ways to go before it settles down into it's final format. one of the few things i was disappointed in at the meeting was pete's response to noise's question about check book info being available while a customer was in the bill paying screen. i have felt this is necessary for a while. pete's answer was that he felt it is unnecessary. the reason being the fact that only 25% of people balance their check books.

that don't wash. the response does not address the original premiss. it's apples and oranges. it was a flip answer that i took as , if we ain't got it then you don't need it. i see some denial it the attitude. they are the 800# gorilla now. all that does is make you everybodys target.

CSCO is a great company for 1 major reason that i know. they run on the principle that if you can't out engineer em, buy em. ignoring these premium bells and whistles, along with the true innovations, and you are soom an elder statesman instead of that gorilla.

Sorry you seem unwilling to discuss the "details", Tom, of on line bill presentment. I certainly understand why e-bills make sense for the billers (saves money, better marketing), and the portals (stickey), but I cannot think of one benefit to the consumer. The key to CKFR remains bill payment, and the keys to that are security, consumer advertising and scale (% of bills paid totally electronically).

We need to grow bill payment to from 3.5 to 20 million users. That simple.

Below are my issues with bill presentment (and Mobius, indirectly):

I am a two year user of on line bill pay, but skeptic of e-bill presentment.

1) I find having a paper copy very handy, and even necessary, for most bills.

2) E-bill saves money for the biller, not the consumer, so SHOW ME THE MONEY. Until then I do not care...

3) It will be a long time before 4 e-bills are possible for me. Outa my 20 or so bills, only one is now e-bill capable. One e-bill?? Who cares?

4) If I do e-bill, I will want to view the entire bill (and would endure any marketing info, as I do now with paper bills), not just an overview.

5) I would want to download and store the complete e-bill in my computer, backed up, not in some remote site that could go away. Where would that put MOBI?

As always, IMHO...but always listening and looking for a good investment....

Rebuttals??
