I'm willing to give the military-industrial complex the benefit on this initial trip to the shooting competition, but if my kid comes back from the Music City talking like Chuck Heston, then I'm going to ask a few questions.

Re: Bush's failed attempt to get into Lonestar Law School:

This was mentioned almost in passing on the "Frontline" special that explored the early years of both Bush and Gore. It struck me as odd that a man who went to both Harvard and Yale would have a difficult time of making it into UT Law School. Perhaps his law school entrance exam was found lacking. Or perhaps the professors looked at what he did (or rather didn't do) after graduating from Harvard/Yale and decided he had done nothing with his life in the years after he had to leave the frat house.
